Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME generic extension is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level domains remained operational.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registration provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special terms on who can reserve a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
